Bernard Coyne was born on July 27, 1897. Due to hardening of the liver, glandular disorder, he died on May 20, 1921. He was 8 ft & 4 inch tall.
9-Don Koehler (8 ft, 2 inches)
Donald A. Koehler was born on September 1, 1925 and died on February 26, 1981. He is one of 17 known people in medical history to reach a height of 8 feet or more. He was born in Montana, USA. Donald started an abnormal period of growth when he was 10 years old. Donald suffered from the medical condition kyphosis. It was resulted in curvature of the spine. He died from heart disease.

He married Syrian in Oct. 2013. He has also met world’s shortest living man named Chandra Bahadur Dangi at an event in London, UK. He was measured by Guinness World Records at 8 ft 3 inch on February 9, 2011.
6-Edouard Beaupré (8 ft, 3 inches)
Edouard Beaupre was born on January 9, 1881. He was born in the southern Saskatchewan town of Willow Bunch. At seven he had average height but at nine he was over 2 meters tall. Edouared was an excellent horseman but when he reached the height of 2.15 meters, he abandoned the trade. Edourad Beaupre began touring showing off his strength by bending iron bars and lifting horses into his shoulders. He died on July 3, 1904 in a local St. Louis hospital. His body was preserved and put on display in St. Louis. Later the body was took to Montreal museum and then to the University of the Montreal. His body was brought to Willow Bunch in 1990 cremated and buried.
5-Vaino Myllyrinne (8 ft, 3 inches)
Vaino Myllyrinne was born on February 27, 1909 in Helsinki. He died on April 13, 1963. In his time he was the tallest person of the world. At the age of 21, he stood 7 ft 3 inches and weighed 197 kg. At the second phase of his growth he attained a height of 8 ft 3 inch. He is also considered a tallest soldier ever who served in the Finnish Defense Force. Vaino had a 15.7 inches hand span.
4-Leonid Stadnyk (8 ft, 5 inches)
Leonid Stepanovych Stadnyk was born on August 5, 1970 and died on August 24, 2014. Leonid Stadnyk was a Ukrainian. After brain surgery at the age of 14, his excessive growth began. After the surgery he developed a pituitary gland tumor that caused the gland to secrete large amount of growth hormone. Leonid reportedly wore US size 28 inch shoe in length. According to Guinness World Records, he was tallest living man. He died at the age of 44 from a brain hemorrhage.
John F. Carroll was born in 1932 and died in 1969. He was born in Buffalo, New York. He was also known as Buffalo Giant in medical literature. Carroll was known as Jack Carroll and Red Carroll amongst his friends. Before his death in 1969 his standing height was 7 feet 8.25 inches. John’s extraordinary growth started at the age of sixteen and continued until his death.

John William “Bud” Rogan was born on February 16, 1865 and died on September 12, 1905. He was the son of a former slave named Wiliam Rogan. He is the second tallest person ever recorded after Robert Wadlow. He began to grow rapidly at the age of 13. In 1899, he appeared in Newspaper and referred to as the “Negro giant”. His hands measured 11 inches in length and his feet measured 13 inches in length. Rogan continued to grow until his death. At the time of his death he weighed only 175 pounds. He died from complications of his disease. His body was buried under concrete to prevent anyone from exhuming and examining his body.
1-Robert Wadlow (8 ft, 11.1 inches)
Robert Pershing Wadlow was born on February 22, 1918. He was died on July 15, 1940. He is also known as the Giant of Illinois or Alton Giant. He is the tallest person in recorded history for which there is irrefutable evidence. He was born and grew up in Alton, Illinois. He reached 8 ft 11.1 inch (2.72m) in height at his death at the age of 22. His continued growth was due to hyperplasia of his pituitary gland. There was no indication of an end to his growth even at the time of his death. Wadlow’s life –size statue stands on College Avenue in Alton. It was erected in 1986. Wadlow is still affectionately known as the “Gentle Giant”.
